Considering he's asking about a MOBILE CPU, I don't think he's upgrading to a desktop CPU anytime soon.

No you can not upgrade to a newer CPU. Mobile CPUs can not be swapped out and if you did want a 4th gen CPU then you would need a newer platform that supports 4/5 gen CPUs.
