Have a Alienware M15x. I also have a throw away computer with a nice copper heat-sink in it that I was thinking of melting it to the one over my gpu in my Alienware. Was thinking more surface area maybe would cool it better? Also have a fan so I can mount it up I just didn't know if anyone has tried something as retarded as this.

Thanks Brandon

I know I wouldn't consider it personally, there is no extra room in there to speak of and I'm doubting you can jury rig a better solution than Alienware's engineers came up with. You definitely don't want to cut or modify the heatpipes.
I would however recommend changing the thermal compound on the CPU and GPU for a higher quality compound (Gelid GC Extreme or like) and also suggest the use of a cooling pad when gaming - this video shows how to get into your CPU and Graphics heats sinks https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K7KUTPbDX1Q
