Custom Laptop Retailer?

Greetings,

I'm curious if anyone has experience dealing with a retailer that sells customized laptops? I've been browsing the web for weeks now and have yet to find a laptop/ultrabook that just screams me. I feel like to get the best deal for me I need something customized. Any feedback is appreciated, cheers.

Falcon Northwest, OriginPC, Digital Storm to name a few. But for looks you are going to be paying more $$$ remember that.

Cheers. I'm just looking for performance mainly. I have absolutely no intention of running Windows on it, and I feel like 90% of the newer laptops/ultrabooks are geared towards Windows 8. I've seen one or two Linux dealers out there, but I really don't know how much I trust them.
