Dad needs a laptop around 300 USD

Are there any laptops that you all can recommend around 300USD? He doesn't game and it would purely be an email/youtube/light work machine. I offered to build him a desktop but he wants a laptop. He also has been using tablets so he wants to move away from that. Looking as close to a full feature laptop as possible!

Heres a laptop that could work. It has an intel duel core processor and 4 gb of Ram. As well as a 500 gb HDD. High definition 768p screen and is brand new model from ASUS there are other options but this is a good one.

The dual core Celeron N3050 CPU is a low end CPU that is not much more powerful than CPU used in tablets. You can use if for light work, but due to the weak CPU you are likely going to feel that the laptop is slow sooner rather than later.

I recommend the following Asus 15.6" laptop that comes with a Core i3-5020u CPU, a 1080p screen and 1TB HDD for $355 + tax. The Core i3 is a budget CPU, but it is far more powerful than the Celeron N3050.
