Date and Time Clock Stops Working Even the Laptop is running...

I have dell d630 latitide. its clock stops working either the laptop is running or not. when i shut down the laptop and turn it again after 1 or 2 hours the time remains the same as it was at the time of shutting down laptop...

My guess is that the coin-shaped CMOS battery on the main board needs changing for a new one. For the Dell Latitude D630, follow this guide: https/www.ifixit.com/Guide/Dell+Latitude+D630+CMOS+Battery+Replacement/13250

If you don't feel comfortable with that degree if disassembly get someone else to do it for you, a friend or PC repair shop.
