Deciding on a budget gaming laptop

My roommate wants to buy a laptop to replace her newly dead former laptop. She plays WoW regularly, and could get by on just that one game, but has expressed interest in some other PC gaming as well. The catch here is that her budget is only around $600. I am looking for something that will handle those needs, but unfortunately my expertise when it comes to laptop hardware is lacking to say the least.
