Solved! Default video player on a Huawei P30 Pro??

I have a Huawei P30 Pro, which I bought recently,(so a bit of a novice with this model of phone) and I accidentally tapped on the "always" button when I was about to play a video from my gallery. I've tried everything, resetting App settings, and all the usual from Youtube problem solving vids. However, it still uses the default video player, and does not give me a choice. Can anyone help me out with this issue please. Many Thanks.

open settings
in the search box type default apps
press on default apps
scroll down to More defaults and select
choose your Gallery default from the list
you may need to install a third party app if you have not already done so
