dell 1545 hard drive size

I have a Dell 1545 laptop with dead hard drive. Looking over the Internet I see two different sizes being advertised; 9.5 and 7mm. I have tried finding the correct size from Dell sites but unfortunately the 1545 is old enough that they don't say much about the hard drive dimensions. The dead HD is SATA 5400RPM 250GB. I plan to upgrade to a 500GB.The old HD is a Toshiba MK2565GSX HDD2H84. Which size goes with this laptop?
