Dell Inspiron N4010 RAM to Lenovo G50-80?

I had a 7 year old Dell Inspiron N4010 with 3GB (2+1) DDR3 RAM.

I recently upgraded to a Lenovo G50-80 with 4GB (4+0) DDR3 RAM with an empty slot.

Can I use the 2GB RAM from my old Inspiron N4010 to upgrade my G50-80 to 6GB (4+2)?

Is the old RAM compatible with the new motherboard? (Though they both say DDR3, I want to know if there is may be some sub-classification that would make the old RAM incompatible with my new laptop)

Yes it should work since they both work with RAM that is a DDR3-PC3-12800 1.35V or a DDR3L-PC3L-12800.
