:hello: Hi Everyone,
Any one know if there is any way to get past a forgotten password on a dell latitude laptop? (mind you its a bios bootup password) I have removed the battery (on the board) and harddrive and rebooted after waiting awhile, this didnt reset the password either. I know most have jumpers on the board that you can work with but Im not sure which ones they are, only because im unsure of the type of board in the computer? Is there any way to get around this without sending it back to dell so they can charge me to type in a few keystrokes that they refuse to release to owners? Thanks in Advance for any advice.
NVR.

Well you actually could call in dell and they would charge you about $50 and would provide you a master password that can be used to reset your BIOS and tht charge is valid for 30 days if you dont have a warranty on ypur laptop.. Else spend $70 more and extend your warranty and then call so they cant charge you anything more than that... hehe
