Hello!
I recently obtained a Dell Latitude e6400 from my boss. It does work, but when powering on, it has some incessant, loud beeping during the boot screen.
Is there a way to turn this off?
Thank you in advance!

Does the BIOS throw out any error messages? Is there a pattern to the beeping?

There are some errors during POST that aren't serious enough to stop the system from booting, but it will still POST beep a code and usually throw an error up on the screen?

Thank you, but I did end up figuring it out.
The date was set to some time in 2008, so it was yelling at me for that.

Not sure what POSTing is, but the issue was that I kept removing the battery (too keep from overcharging or whatever it's called) which reset the CMOS or something like that.
I've now discovered that FN+F2 turns off charging, so now I no longer have to worry about the beep until it becomes necessary to take the battery out.
