dell N5010 power adaptor not working

my dell inspiron N5010 laptop power adaptor cable is not working - the blue light has gone dead. If i change the 5 amps fuse in the plug - will it work ?

or

should i purchase another adaptor for my laptop

Hi,

It won't harm the laptop if you try to change the fuse but make sure it's the same one. If that doesn't work you may try another AC adapter first that is compatible with your laptop before you buy a new one just to make sure that it's really at fault. Saves you time and money.
