Dell studio 1435 LCD screen not working

Hello,
I have a Dell Studio 1435 Laptop.

One fine day, the LCD screen is not working anymore. When i try to connect VGA cable to external monitor, it works fine! That means the system is ok.

So, i tried replace the LCD screen, LCD inverter and cables, but still there is no respond.

other than the 3 components, is there anymore that need to look into?

Is it possible that the motherboard itself is malfunction although i still can log into the system?

Hi,

It seems you've done all the possible troubleshooting steps that should have solved the issue.
- First try to reseat the ribbon cable that connects the LCD to the motherboard.
- If it will not still show any display that means the problem lies in the motherboard itself and your only option is to use an external display.
- Disconnect the ribbon cable that connects the LCD to the motherboard and your external display will be automatically set as the default display.
- You'll be able to see everything even in BIOS.

I think that's it for this laptop. no choice but to use external monitor then.
