What happened to sub 2lbs (1.99) like the Thinkpad nano style?

I guess they stuffed a huge battery in to help get those runtimes.

My experience with our three Dell XPS laptops has been disappointing. We have had 3 displays that needed to be replaced, an SSD failure that required a mainboard replacement, and a few other annoying issues.
We have been waiting more than a month for a new display on a 2022 XPS 13 and this is with next business day, onsite warranty.
These are great computers as long as they work but they are NOT reliable in the long-term. The top- of-the-line service contract isn't worth the extra hundreds of dollars because Dell doesn't have parts available when needed.
