Dell XPS Laptop Fan problem

Hello folks,

I have a Dell XPS 15 L502X laptop bought a year back.

# 2nd generation Intel Core i7-2760QM processor 2.40 GHz with Turbo Boost 2.0 up to 3.50 GHz +

# 8GB,DDR3,2 DIMM

Recently the fan at the left end ventilator have been giving me headache.

It starts as soon as the laptop is on and after 5 mins it speeds up then stop then speed up again and then stop which is really annoying.

Is there any way to fix or is there any software available to set up the fans speed. Kindly let me know fellows.......

which seems to indicate that the design of the laptop makes it run hot (50-60deg is hot in my book), so the fan comes on. anyway if you read through that thread there are several suggestions which may help you.

I did tried to install the new drivers and updated the firmware of all the devices but still the problem is not resolved.....I am going bonkers what is the reason for fan to come up so frequently.......Initially i thought the heat sink would be a problem but i performed the hardware diagnostic tests couple of times which showed 100 % system healthy.

Kindly help me in this matter....

Same problem with my dell xps l502x laptop, fan speeds up and slows down sometime after i start the com and also hardware diagnostics are passed... Should I replace the fan?
