I was wondering if it would be possible to upgrade my Dell XPS to Windows 7 or Windows 10 (Preferably windows 10)

System Model: MXG061
CPU: CPU: Intel Core(TM)2 CPU T7200 @ 2.00GHZ (2 CPUs)
Memory: 2046MB RAM

This is an old laptop and with the current specs I am assuming that I will not be able to upgrade.
BUT, would it be possible for me to get Win7/Win10 if I were to upgrade some parts?

If so, which parts should I upgrade?

Solution
absolutely. I run Linux Mint 18.3 "Sylvia" with the Cinnamon Desktop on such lowly chips as the Celeron G3900. You can actually run it "Live" without installing it by downloading it from here https://linuxmint.com/download.php and using rufus.exe (from here: http://rufus.akeo.ie/)
(how-to here: https://mintguide.org/tools/317-make-a-bootable-flash-drive-from-an-iso-image-on-linux-mint.html) to get it onto a bootable USB stick. You won't be able to save any of your work, but it will give you an idea of how it works. And it comes loaded with all the software applications you can possibly use, already installed, and presents you with a very Windows-Like desktop.

Software in the download includes music players, GIMP, LibreOffice...

Wow sweet! It took me 5 minutes to install this lol. It's pretty neat so far. I'm not used to the interface though. Is there a way to install a windows 7/10 theme for this?

You get used to the interface pretty quickly. It's my favorite of all the Linux flavors. You could have downloaded the "MATE" desktop (which I'm not fond of), and actually, if you want to experiment, you can download pure Ubuntu and any number of available desktops. Takes more skill to get them up and running, though. In the end, there are really just two kinds of desktops: the Windows "taskbar" style (varies: along the bottom, along the side, etc) and the sort of "full screen" desktop, which has a windowed/tile effect.

I'm running a Dell XPS M1210 (T5600 processor 64-bit architecture, 1.83Mhz) maxed at 4Gb ram.
I added Crucial's MX500 250Gb SSD, and turned on "Momentum Cache".
I'm running Windows 10 32-bit OS.
The 32-bit OS is recommended on this system (even though it's 64bit architecture) due to the RAM limitations.
I also install all my apps as 32-bit versions.
It all runs GREAT !!!!
Also running MS Office 365, Visio, and MSProject very smoothly.

I have upgraded mine with 8GB RAM (yes, it supports it), windows 10 64-bit and an Evo 750 250GB and a ac7260 wifi card.
Runs really smooth.
