Dell xps won't go past boot logo please help!

Hey guys, lurker here.

I have an issue with a dell xps laptop, model number L501X.

It turns on and the boot logo uppears. Soon after the loading bar hits about 60% of the way it just stops. The screen itself isn't frozen because when I tap f12 or F2 to get into setup or boot options the options light up but don't actually take me anywhere.

Any ideas? I use this laptop for school and really need a fix!

No it doesn't seem to.

I was able to get into some sort of pre bios menu that asks me to press F2. It also lists some info on my mobile.

Can you boot from a usb as you can install windows on it assuming you have another pc?
