Demon and won't work

Just got a luxor tv .when we turn tv on .amp clicks off .any ideas

Power issue? Try another outlet for the amp. I am guessing you are saying you have a TV and a surround sound system or something that shuts off when the TV is turned on correct?

If the Denon receiver goes into protection with nothing connected to it then the problem is inside the receiver.
If it doesn't then there could be a bad speaker or shorted speaker cable. Connect the speaker cables one at a time. When the receiver doesn't turn on then you know which wire or speaker is the problem. Check that there aren't any stray wires that could be shorting from plus to minus at either end of the speaker wire.
