Desktop Crashing in Games

The CyberPowerPC GUA2000B I recently bought has started crashing while in certain games. The screen will turn a solid color (so far I have seen grey, black, and yellow) and sometimes there will be vertical bars. After about a second the sound stops working, and ctrl+alt+del and alt+f4 do nothing. My only option is to shut off the computer manually and after restarting it, it works fine. The only games it has happened in are Skyrim, Splinter Cell Blacklist, and Modern Warfare 2. In Modern Warfare 2 it has only crashed while in the menu. Other games I have played without having crashes include Borderlands the Pre-Sequel, Heroes and Generals, Far Cry 3, World of Tanks, and Prison Architect.

How come the power supply only goes bad while i'm playing certain games?
