I'm using Office 10, and last night I was working on 8 spreadsheets, assorted in "tile" on the desktop. I didn't get finished and left them on overnight. This morning most of my desk top icons, including the spreadsheet files had all changed to the Microsoft Pictures icon. I can't open any programs, i.er. Outlook, etc. from these picture icons. How can I get my regular desktop back?

Solution
There may be and probably is a shorter way to do this but one way is to right click on each icon (should only need to do this once for the Excel files) and change the association back to the proper program (application).
