Did I kill my camera?

Hello,
I accidentally plugged a ac/dc adapter for my tablet into my JVC GZ-E10 camera and now my camera doesn't work.

When you turned your camera on did you do so with the correct power adapter plugged in or did you turn it on without the power adapter attached?
