Did my dog fry my laptop?

I have an amazing msi laptop that runs like an absolute dream. It was playing a video while I was working on a project off in the distance. To my knowledge the low power warning never popped up on the screen. The laptop shuts down instantly. I walk over to find my dog chewing on the laptop end of my power supply. I unplug the laptop and attempt to power it back up... nothing. I plug it back in again and notice that no lights illuminate as they usually do when plugged in. No power, no lights. Is it fried?

Not likely. Whats likely is that your dog ate through the power supply cable.

sounds like you need a new power adapter as a customer's cat did the same thing, actually chewed it a few times.

I repaired the wire and plugged it in. Once I did the laptop turned itself back on as if being shocked to life. The battery was still full. My charging light appears to be the only remaining casualty.

how many wires was in the cable as some have 3 instead of 2?

Hmm, still say the cables the faulty one. Its not charging, and i guess the laptop turned on by luck.

It was just a core inside of another core.
