The core i3, i5 and i7 series of processors are the latest from intel and they will be replacing the older core2duo and core2quad processors.

Some of the features present in i3 that core2duo lacks: on-chip integrated graphics, hyper-threading (i3 can run four threads simultaneously whereas core2duo can run only 2).
