Difference between the Razer Kraken and Kraken Pro (or "advice on buying a new headset")

I was taking a look on some headsets , since my Microsoft LX-3000 blew it's speakers.
My cousin said she likes the Kraken , from Razer, she says it's a real good set.
But there are two main models available , the standard Kraken and the Kraken Pro.
Besides the microphone (something i don't use) , is there any difference between the two?
And , if the Kraken is not a good deal , is there any headset you could recommend?

Kraken USB requires USB port, 32mm Drivers, poor Mic, lack of Mic features and control.

Kraken 7.1 is USB, 40mm Drivers, Digital Mic

Kraken Pro is same quality and features as the 7.1 above; but is Analog, not USB.

These are better in my opinion, more comfotable, better overall sound, inline volume control and not Fugly colors.
