I have OLD speaker that i want to still use. The wire connection is the very old "clip in" type - wires stripped on the ends so that they are bear and clip in to make connection

I want to play my CD's ....cannot find a CD player anywhere - the technology is so old they are not readily available.

I purchased a SONY DVD player that will pay CD's - but I cannot make the connection because the wires are what I assume are digital.....round - various colors to match up with the various input & outputs.....and my speakers have the old clip in type of connection.

Anyway to make this work?

thank you from an out of touch music lover.

Paula.

Hmm for us to better help u, do state the exact model of those speakers? U would need an amp/receiver to drive those. Long story short you can either dip into the used market and get a receiver with tuner as well or if u like small T-amps?

It's hard to tell what you are doing without pictures, post some.

Speakers are from a VERY old Sony "mini Hi-Fi- Component System" MHC-2600.

2 more questions for you: what would be the best "used market" source? and what are "small T-amps" ?

Thank you for taking the time to help.
