Digital Surround Sound Software

Is there any free software that allows digital surround sound?
I've been looking into the Razer surround sound software but I'm not sure if it's good and if there are any other software that's also free which can enable surround sound from a stereo headset. I also have the Asus Realtek HD Audio Manager but I can't turn stereo headsets into Digital surround sound (If there is a way please tell me).

Software isn't going to help you if your headphones don't support digital surround sound. Can't just expect to download drivers/software and turn $20 headphones into surround sound ones.

Ive used the Razer software, its not good. Your best option is to get a soundcard which has 5.1 or 7.1 surround.
