DirecTV PPV

Hi,
I ordered PPV for the first time last night. I figured I'd just see how
easy/hard it was to do it with the remote. However, I ordered it on the Tivo
box, so that I could record it. I was going to bed (planning on wathcing the
movie tonight), but I flicked on the PPV channel in another room. I got the
first 5 minutes of the movie (with the "For ordering information, please
call extension...." box), but then it blacked out. My question is is this
normal? I was under the impression that if you ordered PPV, your DirecTV
*service* ordered the PPV, not the box you ordered it from. Or is it a
different situation because I had the ability to record it on the Tivo?

Thanks.

It happens that way because when you order via the remote, it doesn't
connect to DirecTV till the end of the billing cycle. As a result, DirecTV
doesn't yet know that you ordered the PPV, so has no way of telling your
other receivers that you ordered it and are authorized to view it.

Had you ordered the PPV directly though DirecTV, all your receivers would
have been authorized at the same time as they would have sent a signal to
all receivers on your account.
