should I discharge and recharge the battery of new laptop for extra hours for the first time in order to have a better battery life??

should I disconnect the battery from the laptop when using it home with AC power ? will it affect battery life of the laptop?

Over the years I 've been hearing about special care among battery (e.g. fully discharge it every time or charge it for extra hours for the first time) . Is it still that user-UNfriendly now??

You must never drain the battery completely because it will degrade very quickly. Never let it go under 20% charge. It is recommended to do a full discharge/charge cycle the first time to calibrate it. If you mainly use the laptop plugged in, then it is better to let the battery at 50-60% charge and take it out of the laptop and store it in a cool and dry place.

Hi, for the first time calibration, do you mean discharging it completely to 0% or 20%?
