1000-1500

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?
of little concern - I am not picky when I am gaming on the go and I will be docking this system when at home.

3. What screen resolution do you want?
of little concern - I am not picky when I am gaming on the go and I will be docking this system when at home.
BUT if its not a big deal then 1920*1080 would be nice

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?
Both?

5. How much battery life do you need?
As much as i can get, i suppose.

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?
Starcraft2, MW3, SkyRim, etc etc. I am going to say on High settings... but i dont care, just shooting for something with enough power to play games for 3 years. So start with power now and playing on high.. and in 3 years playing those new games on med to low. Ya know?

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)
Nothing worth noting

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?

Nope.

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop?
3 years

11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ?
DVD burner

12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.
I have never had a good HP, ever. I have only ever owned HP laptop. Have some Lenovos at work... but they do not impress me.

13. What country do you live in?
USA

14. Please tell us any additional information if needed.
Display port. I have recently purchased a 27inch monitor (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236091) I enjoy that monitor a great deal. It has HDMI Display port, vga, dvi. (so if I must I must i will use a DVI... but that would stop me from useing the Pic in Pic feature (can only run 1 digital at a time and my Xbox is running on a HDMI)

I want to be able to use this laptop at LAN parties and other social events, and at these functions I do not require the most optimal visual experience - because they happen so rarely. So i would rather spend that money on more power.

Thanks much!

2nd generation Intel® Core™ i7-2760QM processor 2.40 GHz with Turbo Boost 2.0 up to 3.50 GHz [Add $300.00 or $9.00/month1]
2nd generation Intel® Core™ i7-2670QM processor 2.20 GHz with Turbo Boost 2.0 up to 3.10 GHz [Add $175.00 or $6.00/month1]
2nd generation Intel® Core™ i7-2640M processor 2.80 GHz with Turbo Boost 2.0 up to 3.50 GHz [Add $405.00 or $13.00/month1]

It starts with that i5 which sounds fine.. though i think ill go with the i7.. Is there any real value (either now in it being a faster machine or longevity) in getting the 2.5 or 2.8 cpu? seems like a whole lot of coin for not that much of a difference and why is the 2.8 cheaper than the 2.5

Thank you,

Nem
