display problem in my laptop

I have a hp compaq 6910p. in this three days my laptop have Checkered screen, as the photo. It keeps appear every 30 to 1 hour, and the problem gone after restart the computer. what cause the problem and how to solve it

It may be caused by overheating the graphic chip, or a video RAM memory issue.


i'll do this:
1º Test video RAM.
2º Monitorizing temperatures.
