Displaying TV IMAGE onto laptop screen

Hi there,

I'm wondering if it is possible to display the image that is on my TV, on my latop screen. I know it is easy to display my laptop on my tv, but I want to know if it can be done the other way around.

You would need to use a TV Tuner Card and a compatible TV signal (cable, over-the-air).

Okay, so there is no way to use the laptop's screen as just a screen?

The reason I ask is that I am trying to get the following system in place.. CCTV system > to bluray recorder > to a montitor. However, it looks like the monitor can't cope with the output of the bluray recorder as the screen flickers, therefore I am not able to tune the bluray recorder (as I cant see the output properly) to recieve the CCTV signal.

So i wanted to see if it was a problem with the monitor or something else, and the only other monitor I have available to me is the one on the laptop.

Is there any way I am solve this problem with the equipment I have?

Your laptop needs a video input (which it does not have). A TV Tuner or Video capture card is required.
