I'm actually taking the step to go from wireless to wired, and due to semi-long distances I'm unsure of how much I'm going to end up having to spend to get this setup working.
Projector is an Epson EH-TW9300W - Currently running on the wireless HDMI
Receiver is an Yamaha RX-A1070
Ordinary cable I'm referring to would be 4K - 60Hz - 18,6gb/s
The setup looks like this:
Does this mean I should regard my distance when playing media from my PC as 60feet/20m in total?
If so, I can't imagine that an ordinary HDMI cable will work. Seeing how the optical ones costs more than 10 times more than the ordinary HDMI cables, this would make the project a bit too costly right now.
Also, if I'm correct in my assumption, would there be a decent chance that running an optical cable between the projector and the receiver would be good enough to enable the use of an ordinary one between PC and receiver?
Thanks in advance for any replies!
