Do in-line F-connectors work on RG-6 cable?

I have a cut in my coax line in the ribbon cable. Will an in-line
F-connector work to "splice" the cable?

It is better to replace the cable. A splice is an open invitation
to moisture. It may work for a while, but eventfully it will start
causing problems.

If you cant or don't want to replace the cable then. First cut the cable,
then insert a 3 or 4" piece of 1/2" hot pvc tubing (its smaller than cold)
over one end, then add the connectors, put some vasoline inside the
connectors before you connect them to the barrel. Then slide the pvc over
the connections and fill both ends with clear PVC.. For good measure I also
wrapped the whole thing with clear plastic wrap and then taped over the
whole thing with plastic electrical tape. I have a cable about 7 years old
with a splice such as this.

It can, but you will need Silicon Tape.
