Does a Gigabyte GA-Z97P-D3 motherboard supports 5.1 sound?

I have a question about my moterboard. It's an GA-Z97P-D3 motherboard but im not sure if it supports a 5.1 sound system.
Please help me out

Hey!

Thanks for the fast answer. So if im correct it should be able to handle 5.1surround sound ?

Yes it will do upto 7.1.
