Does anyone remember the type of Dolby that Bluejay Studio in Carlise, MA used in the early 80's? In there main room it was a 24trk 2" MCI deck. Steve Langstaff eng. Bob Lawson owner. 40 Guys in session. I need to transfer the tracks to digital and re-master.

You could try calling the studio and see if they know or post on http://www.gearslutz.com/board/, this website is geared to the professional music people.

I looked over there to gearslutz. A couple of Elliot Smith vids were cool but not what I'm looking for. The original studio has changed hands and is all pro-tools now.
I'm still om the hunt.

There are only two options, A or SR. You can check with Dolby Labs and find out if SR was out then. If the time frame doesn't help you can probably tell by listening to the playback with each.
