If you have more than one hard drive in your system, then you may see multiple partitions. You want to ensure that you delete any partitions on your primary OS drive. There is usually a 100mb one for windows installer, followed by the remaining space on the drive. It is safe to delete both of these and the new install will re-create the 100mb one required.

If you do have more than one hard drive then you might want to consider disconnecting those additional hard drives until you are confident that you are only deleting the OS drive.

Unfortunately most Cryptowall viruses are very sneaky and can hide and re-infect systems even after a Windows reset process. It is best to completely reformat the OS hard drive and reinstall Windows completely to ensure that it is gone. Personally, I would not even consider backing up any data on an infected drive before a reformat.

The only solution to retaining any data after a Crytowall infection is a daily backup process via Cloud backup or Tape drive/Cartridge backup. Which home users do not often use.

Consider your data is compromised and not salvageable, unless you have a daily backup solution in place.

Sorry for your loss. :(
