I have an HP Probook 455 G1, the specs are:
Processor: AMD A4-4300M APU 2.5 GHz with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 8750M 2GB
Ram: 4GB, but the system shows 3.3GB i don't know if that is important
For instance in games increasing the resolution doesn't change the fps by much, but just looking in different directions makes the fps go up and down by a lot.
I would appreciate any insight, thank you.

What games? The CPU part of the APU is comparatively weak. Download 3dMark (free) benchmark software and run all four tests (Ice Storm, Cloud Gate, Sky Diver, and Fire Strike) and let us know the results. That will help pinpoint the slow-down.
