Done the above my tablet is now showing Chinese or Japanese writing

My lenova tab 2 keeps freezing tried the start and volume up buttons together and now there's Chinese or Japanese writing showing.

If you were doing a factory reset and you are getting foreign characters, you have a tablet from that part of the world. Need to find someone that speaks the language and get them to go through the reset then set the language to english again.
