The shadowy stage will be a lot of fun especially if you are aiming to collect all the puzzle pieces. There are nine puzzle pieces and you can get them all by following the guide below:
Puzzle Piece #1:
As soon as the level starts, turn around and then go to the left side. Enter the building and you will see a hidden blast barrel. It will fire you out with the first puzzle piece. You can then continue to the right.
Puzzle Piece #2:
Keep going right and you will come across a bunch of Dodo foes, run down on the road past them and you will see a silhouetted structure. What you need to do is to walk into the left side and you will reveal a hidden cove. There will be a plant inside, ground slam it and you will reveal the second piece of the puzzle.
Puzzle Piece #3:
Soon you will come across the first checkpoint pig. Just after that, you will see a plug in the ground. Pull that plug and a plant will grow. Use the leaves of the plant to reach to a vice that you can use to swing over to the hidden cove. There will be a puzzle piece hiding inside it.
Puzzle Piece #4:
Keep playing and you will come across a grasshopper that will be hopping up and down at a pile of rocks. Bop the hopper and then ground pound the rocks, you will reveal a plug. Pull that plug and a winged banana will come out. Catch all the banana coins and bananas trailing behind it to get the fourth piece of the puzzle.
Puzzle Piece #5:
Pay As you are sliding down a long vine, you will notice that the foliage in the foreground makes a star pattern from a certain angle. Position yourself on the vine to see the star and then hold still for a few seconds and the foliage will fall away and you will see two circles of bananas that are spinning. Collect all bananas to reveal the fifth piece of the puzzle.
Puzzle Piece #6:
As soon as you reach the bottom of the vine, go towards the left side and you will find a very short vine. Go ahead and hang on it and then some platforms will fall down into place that will allow you to collect the sixth piece of the puzzle.
Puzzle Piece #7:
Keep playing and you will come across the second checkpoint. Go past that and just over gap towards the right there is a plug on the ground. Pull that plug out and a plant will grow. There will be the seventh piece of puzzle sitting on the upper leaf.
Puzzle Piece #8:
Continue to the right and you will reach a platform with a propeller under it. Some bananas will appear on the platforms on the right side. Collect them all and you will reveal the eighth puzzle piece to the rightmost platform.
Puzzle Piece #9:
Walk towards the right side and you will see another plug in the ground. Pull it and a large tree will come out. Collect all bananas on the leaves of that tree before they disappear and the ninth puzzle piece will appear.
