Downgrading from Win8 to Win7 Worth it?

Hey guys so I got a netbook(?) during last Black Friday and I haven't been able to say "worth it" yet mainly because it's just SO SLOW. I knew what I was getting but I just couldn't believe that it would be so sluggish. So my question is, will downgrading a laptop that came stock with Win8 to Win7 have a noticeable performance boost? Also will I be able to get touch screen drivers while running Win7?

Here's the info on the netbook.
Asus X200CA - touch screen
CPU - Intel Celeron 1007U
RAM - 4GB DDR3 1600

I'm not sure getting Windows 7 will make your laptop much faster.

Windows 8 is pretty fluid.

Probably go buy an SSD.
