Solved! Dsl/hpna

Can I just use the single filter without the dsl/hpna filter as I have my telephone line only connected to the wall jack. I am only interested in connecting one device, my laptop computer with ethernet cable.

Hello ringa;

You do NOT use a filter on the phone jack to the modem/router.
Use the filters on phone jacks for the telephones.

Also the ethernet cable is from the modem to the laptop.
Not the telephone wall jack to the modem.

In this diagram the computer would be your laptop.
