I'm using my playstation 2 as a dvd player. Is there anyway to change the settings on my 3d tv so that the dvd's picture will look better instead of stretched out? I have the panasonic 42" viera plasma 3dtv.

Solution
Can you adjust the PS2 for a 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio? I have a PS3 and that is the default setting.

Otherwise you'll have to change your TV settings (for that input anyway) to the standard 4:3 aspect ratio if you don't want the image stretched out. On my Pioneer plasma, the sidebars are set to gray so as to not burn in the screen with prolonged use.
