I have a Pioneer DVL-919 that I've had in storage for about 5 years. I carefully packed it in its original box when I stored it, but I'll admit it's been bounced around a bit.
When I set it up recently and put in a Netflix DVD (not Blu-ray, just regular), I was thrilled to see it play through previews and to the movie's menu. However, when I pressed Play on the front of the unit to select Play on the onscreen menu, a disc-with-a-red-slash-circle symbol appeared over the onscreen Play menu item, and the movie would not play.
I tried this with two different Netflix DVDs ---- the sound and image of the previews and menu were gorgeous on both DVDs; it just wouldn't play the movies themselves.
I don't have my original manual handy (again, it's somewhere in all my recently released storage stuff). Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance for any help!
