[citation][nom]shqtth[/nom]Europe is full of guys with man purses. I think its funny, but over there you cannot laugh, becuase the ratio to guys without man purses to guys with manpurses is large. Plus the idea of getting wacked by a man purse isn't such a plesent thought Over the past 4 times going to Europe in 10 years, the man purse thing keeps getting woarse.[/citation]
Honestly, and I hate to say this, but it would be damned convenient to have a small-medium sized bag to carry stuff around it. So many times when I go out I end up loading up my wife's purse with all kinds of crap that I want to carry (she complains that I treat her like a pack mule). Its not just European guys that get murses either, plenty of Asian guys carry them around too (though androgyny is big in their culture). One of my friends actually carries around a murse and we always refer to it as 'his girlfriend's purse'.

well they have been a successful company since the early 90's so they must the right about a lot of things

Nice try though 😉

aquire westwood, gut it for the franchises, kill off one of the biggest and best (at the time) developers...
their mistakes go on and on, they may not have hurt them financially because most people love being uninformed, but they have wronged us more times than they were good to us.

The problem with phones as a gaming device is the controls. They suck. Angry birds? Come on, that isn't a real game in my opinion. I thing that the little mini games you can by on phones are just that...mini games. A handheld console can provide a much better gaming experience. The 3DS is failing because its just a DSi with 3D capability. The hardware isn't any better than seeing a 3D picture. The Vita is like a portable PS3. I'm not saying that the 3DS isn't powerful, but it isn't superior to the DSi. It's more of like an add-on to the DSi...and Sega can tell you the woes of add-on gadgets.

I wouldn't say this means they have made right choices. The vast majority of their success and where they got was by buying IP's and then ruining them and relying on fan loyalty of the ruined series to continue purchasing it. take Command & Conquer as a prime example of this.
Their CEO not too long ago even came out saying their games have been sub-par.
Also lets not forget their stock price dropped 68% last year. So calling them "successful"
at this point would be highly mistaken.

Their ploy of buying out and cheapening what works for quick profits and sales aren't working for them anymore. Major investors moved on. Now they are so desperate for a buck that Origin spies on its users to the point beyond what would be useful to Origin and sells ALL info collected on the user to third parties.

Oh yes EA has done so much right.

1. 3DS should have been XL size.
2. Any system meant to game should come with analog sticks, and i agree dude above, hdmi out, & support 1080p.
3. Also should have phone, web, and app capability.
4. About the purse.... I swear sex's are changing. Men are becoming chicks and vice versa, but its ok, i need a purse, uh, sachel also.

Sony has never beat Nintendo in the portable market lets see if they could know, EA you know better then this, Hav'nt any of you guys noticed Most people who play portable games are teens and kids this is where Nintendo will own. Wo the hell wants to play a shooter on a portable anyways.

What's with all this talk of men carrying purses? What, are you shrimps so tiny you can't fit much in your pockets? The only thing I couldn't really carry around in my pockets are netbooks and larger tablets. Yes, even a DSi-XL can fit in my pocket. And no, I'm actually not happy to see you.

At any rate, I'd not put much stock in EA's prediction. I *did* try to think of all the times EA was right about something, and as NuclearShadow pointed out, all I could think of were cases where they used already-successful IPs by buying the companies that owned them: making Ultima games like Ultima Online after buying Origin, (coincidentally, most consider Ultima VIII and Ultima IX, the two mainline games made post-acquisition, to have sucked) the The Sims after buying Maxis, and Command & Conquer from buying Westwood. And I'm sure there's some other stories in there as well.

Given that Sony has voiced no real decision to cut the PSV's price, it's likely going to continue to languish. Meanwhile, the 3DS is selling quite decently. Given the way the DS went against the PSP (out-selling it more than 2-to-1) I foresee a similar result here.

Then by that measuring stick we don't really have systems meant for gaming aside from the PC, since true 1080p @60fps is generally beyond the reach of even the PS3.

If you're specifically referring to handhelds, 1080p is a waste; no portable screens support that resolution without being way too large. Even getting close is prohibitively costly: the price for the same size of screen goes up quickly as you shrink the dot pitch. This is a big factor behind the iPhone 4/4S's price in spite of having a SMALLER screen than top-end Android phones: it's the price being paid for that 960x640 resolution.

[citation][nom]upgrade_1977[/nom]3. Also should have phone, web, and app capability.[/citation]
In other words, you're already predisposed to saying that only phones are the valid handhelds.

PSV's I am a owner of a DSI. DSI's are actully the same as DSI XL's DSI XL's are just bigger and instead of having DSL(Nintendo DSI. U have to have dsl to get on DSI's) and on XL's its wifi but either way XL's are just bigger and the same as DSI's plus 3DS Pictulations suck I looked at the screnn and gameplay at FredMeyer's and like I said it sucks I had to sell my DSI 8 months ago for rent and I have to dicide wich would be better PSV or XL if PSV dropped prices and added games for 11 year old (me) they would beat any Hand held portables around them and if they lowered it they would get so much mula mula. Give me a Opinion what u think would be better. Say PSV or DSIXL that would be better for me I am 11 so for my age range wich portable is better..
