Earphone produces static sound but speaker works completely well.

I have an ASUS K451LN bought few months ago, just today it started producing static sound through earphone which is rather annoying. Tried reinstalling sound driver but problem persists.

Help!

you might be getting electrical interference from power sources near wires. do you directly plug the headphones into the mobo?
