I would like to get into video editing and photo shop. I have a $600 budget for a laptop that will be able to run photoshop and video editing programs. I also hear that an SSD would be good to have. Any suggestions? I know that this is an extremely low budget but right now it's the best I can do.
Your budget is kinda low, but in that price range, the 2015 Newest Acer Windows 10 Aspire High Performance Gaming Laptop, would do a decent job for you. It has the Intel Core i5-5200U processor in addition to the Nvidia GeForce 940M Graphics with 4GB Dedicated DDR3 VRAM plus 8 GB RAM which is actually good. This laptop has an excellent screen resolution and decent battery life. It should do well in video editing and programming.
As you mentioned SSD, yes solid state drives do help providing a little speed in operation, but at $600, you won't get a decent system like this with a SSD as they are on the more expensive side.
