Hello,
I am about to Purchase an Elgato HD Capture for me to use with my Xbox 360 and am also going to be purchasing a laptop to run it on. Elgatos website say the computer needs to have 4GB RAM and 2.0GHz or faster dual core processor. I am wondering in order take video and edit a little will i need more than this? i dont want it just to work i would like for it not to take forever too.

Get an I5 or I7 intel based laptop with discrete graphics and you'll be fine.

thanks for the input i am very slow when it comes to computers and i didnt even know discrete graphics were a thing. i now know what it means but when i look at listed laptops it does not flat out say whether that specific laptop has or does not have discrete graphics. thanks again
