Emachines E525 battery problems

Over the past month, my emachines E525 battery has been rapildy falling from 100% to 30% in a matter of minutes whenever it's unplugged. I have jusg bought a bdand new battety for this laptop but the problems have not changed in the slightest. I need this computer to operate and cannot always get to a charger to charge it. Help!

My guess, you need a new battery.
Low cost - try ebay,
else look online at computer stores, like microcenter or similar.

I just got a brand new battery for it about 2 weeks ago. But the same thing happens with it as well.

Sorry, should of read a little closer.
Does the laptop work fine when Plugged in?
Some laptops have a 'battery conditioning' feature/program (in control panel?)
That you can look for & try.
when you remove the battery, do the contacts on the laptop look OK?
