Hey folks,

I just broke the Wifi switch on my ACER 5050 Laptop. So instead, I stuck a needle into the the hole and flicked the plastic cover of the switch and enabled it. I'm using the wifi now. But this was a serious pain in the rear.

Question: Is it possible to enable the wifi right from the windows environment?

Here's a few facts about the situation:

1. Once the WiFi is turned on, I can reboot the laptop and the WiFi will remain on after Rebooting.
2. However, if all power is cut to the laptop, (adaptor and battery pulled), it is necessary to flick the wifi switch once more after windows loads.
