$500 for low end. $800 for high end.

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?

17 inch

3. What screen resolution do you want?

1080 or whatever is normal for 17inch laptops!

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?

doesnt matter

5. How much battery life do you need?

i know with 17 inch you wont get a lot of battery life but best i can get for the money

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?

some simple games and facebook/internet games, nothing crazy.

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)

able to watch blu ray and stream movies if necessary

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?

this is a big one. i would like a small SSD for the main drive and a 500gb or 1tb mass storage drive

main thing is to be able to have a snappy big screen laptop that doesnt slow down, and it won't be for any kind of enthusiast, just simple multimedia.
